You can ‘t say that you don’t love a wedding with a twist. I have had the honor of shooting at The Atrium at Flint Hill in Norcross, Georgia on many occasion. This event was with Spectrum Entertainment, which provided the DJ entertainment for the evening and gave me the honor of being their photographer for the evening. Matt and his team from Spectrum always keep them on the dance floor. Way to keep it going guys. I spoke of a twist. On occasion a bride and groom will have a theme, well this couple loves Star Wars. They went all out with a themed grooms cake, and the ceremonial exit was also Star Wars induced, not only with Darth Vader’s march, but a light saber arch covering the couple as they exited the alter. Much to the surprise of the groom. The night ended with a great saber battle. Great fun Dee and Clay! May the Force be with you. Hope you enjoy the slideshow.

Family session with the Teague family. Always love doing these sessions, especially when it gets family together from distant places that don’t get to see each other that often.
Letter from a Groom about His Wedding Day
[nggallery id=67]
The following letter is from a groom whose wedding I had the honor to photograph. After reading this letter, I am glad they didn’t run away to get married. Word to the wise gentlemen: It is truly a day to remember, a day that begins the glorious journey you will spend with your wife. Celebrate it! Let the world know your love for her. I wanted to post every word of the letter, because it truly tells the love that he has for his wife, and I felt it should be known. Attention all of you grooms out there! Brides forward this letter to your groom, it will make him cry.

Stephanie and Patrick Engagement Photography Session Athens Georgia
[nggallery id=62]
I joined Stephanie and Patrick last week for an early evening photography engagement session. We chose the early evening because the day before the temperature was a sweltering 106 in the Atlanta area. Yes, it was just as hot on the day of the session, but we did have a breeze and it was overcast. The heat did not bother us a bit, Stephanie and Patrick jumped right in and did very well in front of the camera, making my job a lot easier, considering I was constantly wiping sweat from my brow. But they were troopers and did not care a bit about the weather. I am excited about their wedding day! It is in April:) Cooler winds will prevail!
I know you were excited to see the images Stephanie, they are beautiful, and I sincerely look forward to making the same beautiful images on your wedding day. You are going to be a gorgeous bride!
Ashley and Matt Engagement Photography Session In Atlanta
[nggallery id=61]
As the summer gets into the high temps, we can’t stop photographing beautiful couples that are just engaged. Meet Ashley and Matt, a beautiful and fun loving couple with a cute puppy that I couldn’t resist taking photos of. We started their photo session on a hot June evening, searching for any shade we could find. They had chosen a gorgeous walking path just off Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, while avoiding a few joggers and bicyclists we managed to get some great images. We found a few spots on the nearby creek and train trestle, a few graffiti shots thrown in and then onto their favorite restaurant location for some skyline photos, that’s where we found the elevator for the image in the slideshow.
Congratulations Ashley and Matt! I know you have more than a year to go before the big day, but it will be here before you know it.

The beginning of a busy week began with the rain clouds clearing for Melanie and Jeff’s engagement session. Shooting at the Athens Botanical Gardens, one of my favorite places to shoot. Other than being rained on on occasion, these session are always fun. [Read more…]

Another lovely day in Rome, Georgia for an photography engagement session.
