Found a great little spot in Lilburn, Georgia to shoot a family photo session for the Thomas Steele family. This was just after Christmas 2015, a very cold, wet day. They were troopers, even the little ones. Happy I was able to get this shoot in for them, as the family was coming in from around the country. #EricLittlePhotography #FamilyPhotosInAtlanta #AtlantaPhotographer
Teaugue Family Session
Family session with the Teague family. Always love doing these sessions, especially when it gets family together from distant places that don’t get to see each other that often.
Vacation Bible School
[nggallery id=60]
Summer can be so much fun for kids. It can be just as much for for adults too! I know first hand, as my church had asked me to photograph our recent Vacation Bible School, and as my little girl was participating, and I love to give back to my church, I jumped right in. I have to say that it has been some time since I was in VBS, and things have changed quit a bit. It is such a fun way to learn for the children. The theme this year was Pirates and Buccaneers, and with the band playing pirate songs, and a 30 foot tall water slide of a shark eating a boat, everyone dressed in pirate outfits and yelling AARGHH!! How can you not have fun. Pastor Jeff rounded it out by getting the crowd to join him in saying Bible verses In his Mickey Mouse and Scooby Doo voices. Giving the kids and parents alike a great laugh. Participate next year at your local church vacation Bible school, you might learn something, and have a little fun too.
I don’t know if other churches out there are like my church, but I hope they are. It is a great place to be, and you can see the smiles on the kids faces in the photographs above, they had a fantastic time. Thanks Pastor Jeff, and the Church at Southside in Athens, it was a glorious experience and I look forward to next year.
Cub Scout Pack 508 Photo Session
[nggallery id=51]
Last week I had the opportunity to photograph Cub Scout Pack 508 in Stone Mountain, Ga. Having their awards ceremony, they wanted to be sure to document all of the scouts and their accomplishments. I used to be a scout many years ago, and it was a great experience to relive the excitement these kids had receiving new patches and progressing to the next level. Congratulations Pack 508!
Save the Date! Let Everyone Know
[nggallery id=46]
Planning your wedding? Want to make sure everyone on your guest list sets aside that date, so they can be there with you and your family to celebrate? Save the date magnets and cards are an excellent way to let everyone know. Although we do create the beautifully ornate cards, I believe that the magnets work best. How many times have you gotten a card for your birthday in the mail, it may set propped on your desk for a while, but then it is [Read more…]
Love your Mother and Father
My last article was about a new photo session we are offering. A sort of photography session we do not get a lot of, Baby Boomers. This group of your family may consist of your mother and father, even your brothers and sisters. After posting the article I started thinking more about my parents and family. I lost my father to cancer when he was just 56 and I was 18. It was a tragic loss for me. He was a very good man, but was always away from home when I was growing up, because of his work. We did do a lot of the family things such as trips, fishing, camping and playing games around the house. But that was when a was very young. I miss him a lot, and [Read more…]
My Beloved Photography Sessions for Baby Boomers
[nggallery id=44]
With Mothers Day and Fathers Day coming up we wanted to let you in on a little secret. Your Mom and Dad don’t like to have their pictures taken…….They LOVE it. I know what you are thinking, they always look at you with that sideways grin and say”I don’t like to have my picture taken”, It’s not true! When we get them in front of our camera they begin to laugh and cut up and really have a good time with the session. When they see the images that we take they are very pleased that they took part in the photos. Think about it, you don’t really see a lot of pictures of your parents together, except at the last reunion or at your kids party or soccer game. But a professional, loving picture they would hang on their wall, Priceless. My Dad passed when he was 56. I was 18, I never had [Read more…]
Childrens Photography Session with Courtney’s Babies
[nggallery id=40]
I do love children, and children’s’ photography. Granted it can get a little crazy, but that is part of it right? It is kind of silly to me too, to see the parents feeling out of sorts because their kids are acting silly, but that is when the pictures get interesting. It’s not all about the ‘poses’, it’s about the kids. And [Read more…]
Family Portraits Should be a Yearly Tradition
[nggallery id=28]
Ahh…family photos. They capture the best and the worst of us: the best including the love a family has for one another & the worst including bad hair (need I remind you of the 80’s hairdos?) and out of fashion clothes (seriously, who thought acid-wash jeans were a good idea?!). Getting your family together in one location, dressed and with good attitudes is a challenging feat…especially [Read more…]
Santa in November
Okay, I have been accused of saying the word ‘fun’ too much in my past posts. Hey, I do have fun doing what I do. But I just had to say that , because this shoot was fun! Granted we had to deal with close to 200 kids that day, but tell me how often is it you get to spend a day with Santa? Ever had lunch with Santa? I have! It’s the coolest! Okay, it’s cheesy, but I am a kid at heart. And believe me, it was fun. See for yourself.
