Brides to Babies

Engagement Photography, Bridal Photography, Wedding Day Photography…..All leads to Babies!!! I have been blessed to have several brides return to me with their growing families. From maternity session to newborns, throughout their first year to their first birthday. I love seeing their families grow. I Just completed Jaime and Steven’s newborn photos today. So proud that they called me to do this for them, but wow, when Jaime mentioned they had been married for three years, time sure flies. I remember their wedding as if it were yesterday. The hottest day that summer, so hot that the bride and almost everyone else ran into the sprinklers just to cool off. A testament to the fun life they will have with their little one. And she is so cute!

Family photography sessions are always a treat and one of the fun parts of my business. I have photographed many Pinner family events; including weddings and business events. I now have the opportunity to photograph these beautiful children. Even though it was a hot fall day in North Georgia, it was a fantastic day for pictures. All we needed was a little laughter to set the mood and keep the kids laughing. That was more than adequately supplied by my daughter’s antics in the background. The location was one of my favorites, with many beautiful old rustic buildings and farmhouses. This is the second family/baby photo session I have had with the Pinners. Mom said this would be the last baby session, but looked forward to many more family sessions in the future. I guess we will have to see about the baby sessions, I just think mom was a bit tired from the two babies on her hands.

Family photography is always fun and challenging for me. I mean who doesn’t love kids? Well maybe their mom, when she has had no sleep and they are crying their eyes out and she just wants them to sit still for a few good photos! Well I guess there are those. But in the end, no matter how much screaming or crying there is going on I always get those great shots. This is the story of their little life, and I have been blessed to have been a part of so many families lives. Such as the Pinner family, I photographed their wedding day, and a few years later the phone rang “Guess what, we had a baby!”, another year passed and the phone rang again. I was so happy to see them, and how their little girl had grown from the first photo session. Yes, it is the story of those years that go by so fast, and I love to tell the story. They grow so fast…..

Baby Thanner Photography Session

I love keeping in touch with my clients. Seeing their family grow is such a wonderful experience. When I got the call that Julie and Bill had just had their little boy, I was very excited to see them, and help them capture this very special moment. This photo session captured this little guy just right.  It is a challenge to get those perfect shots, but when you see the outcome, it is worth it.

Santa in November

Okay, I have been accused of saying the word ‘fun’ too much in my past posts. Hey, I do have fun doing what I do. But I just had to say that , because this shoot was fun! Granted we had to deal with close to 200 kids that day, but tell me how often is it you get to spend a day with Santa? Ever had lunch with Santa? I have! It’s the coolest! Okay, it’s cheesy, but I am a kid at heart. And believe me, it was fun. See for yourself.

Indian Springs Engagement Session

Meet Gaylyn & Caleb. A loving couple that picked a cool location. Indian Springs State Park, Georgia. Used to be a booming town, but time has changed that. Haven’t been to this place since I was a child. Not a big park, but it did have some great spots for images. The light was just perfect when we were on the river. Great shoot.
