Corporate photography and video assignments can be a challenge and filled with pressure, but then they are also so much fun. That is a balance that is hard to beat.
One of my most recent corporate events was with a multilevel marketing company named 5Linx, a great company based in Rochester, N.Y. I have been fortunate to work with them at several events around the country, including Rochester, Chicago, and Miami. Their latest event took me to New Orleans, so on this Super Bowl Sunday I thought I might share with you a little of the event happenings.
Our team of Rich Fialo, his father Richard Fialo and myself covered the event with both photography and video. We covered several days in both the main hall and breakout rooms, including one day of ministry fellowship. One of my task was to take all this media and condense it into a five minute highlight reel and just to make it challenging I had to do it before the last day and on site. I had to search through hours of video and photos for just the right key pieces. This video short was the main show piece, meant to draw more guests and share the excitement and fun of these events. Pretty scary, but a real adrenaline kick when you see the results shown on four huge stage screens and realize that there are 12,000 people behind you watching your work. Now I kind of know what Steven Speilberg feels like. Okay, not really on that level, and the pay is not as good either (we all have our dreams).
I hope you enjoy it, and watch for more from me as the year progresses.
