As these hot summer days pass by there is one day I will remember well, that is the day that Jaime and Steven were married. I have been privileged to be a friend of Jaime’s for several years, and I was excited for them both when Steven told me he had gotten her a ring, but I was honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding. Jaime had once been a wedding coordinator, and had seen many photographers work throughout the years, when she asked me I was blown away. It was a very special sentiment that touched my heart, I will admit that this was the first bride I have photographed where there was a tear in my eye. I am proud for them both.
I had shared a few images from their wedding day in a recent post, I thought I would share a few more. There is another reason I will remember this day, it was a record breaking 106 degrees, and it was planned to have the entire ceremony and reception outdoors. You could not ask for more beautiful scenery, located right on the lake at Reynolds Landing in Greensboro, Ga. on Lake Oconee. Beautiful as it was it was a blessing when the golf course sprinklers began to shower everyone. It was a party in every sense, and all the guest partied on despite the heat. Even the little ones found refuge from the heat by standing in the ice buckets, I cannot blame them a bit.
Jaime and Steven, I wish many blessings on you and your marriage, you deserve it. I have enjoyed being a part of your lives, and I hope that will continue as I want to be there to photograph your family as it grows.
Best wishes to you both.
