With 700 acres of natural beauty, Cuscowilla offers a relaxed atmosphere in one of the most stunning locations I’ve ever seen. The entrance alone will stop you with its beauty. Native grass, huge pine trees, meticulous landscaping, miles and miles of shoreline, a pure golf course and a venue that is surrounded by gorgeous Lake Oconee is just a little glimpse of what Cuscowilla offers.
In addition to this gorgeous property, there are overnight accommodations spread-out all over the property, sure to accommodate all of your guests. Your guests can stay overnight in any of the three accommodations including Lodge Villas, Lake Villas and Golf Cottages — guests often make it a mini-vacation! With two pools on property and a location to rent wave runners and boats, it’s a great venue for a wedding and offers a great getaway for your guests!
With The Waterside Restaurant and the Golf House Grill, Cuscowilla is a one-stop shop for couples looking for a “destination wedding” that’s just a short drive from Atlanta. Host your bridesmaids luncheon on the patio at the Golf House while the groomsmen take a swing at the #1 Best Course You Can Play in Georgia (Golfweek 2011). Enjoy a rehearsal dinner in the Golf House Grill while your guests take in the views of the longest hole on the Cuscowilla course, #14.
Your ceremony takes place on a peninsula surrounded by Lake Oconee with views of the lake and the golf course. This is one of the most scenic locations for a ceremony that I’ve ever seen. Can you imagine saying your “I Do’s” with the lull of a boat going down the lake or the peaceful sound of the gentle waves of the lake crashing on the nearby shores? After the ceremony, through the excitement you retreat for beautiful photos to be captured on the nearby bridge crossing the lake, or the boat docks, by the pool and the beautiful landscaped areas surrounding this great wedding location. Take a few short steps to The Waterside Restaurant and start your reception. With seating inside and outside under the stars, it offers the best of both worlds. From every seat, you get a view of the lake, with spectacular food being served your guests, this chef pulls no punches, it is simply great. Having had the opportunity to shoot here for the past several years, I have really grown to love this location. So many aspects are appealing, which makes my job so much more enjoyable. People are just happy here. Look at the surroundings. It is a resort, but peaceful. It is relaxing. I have had the pleasure of enjoying a stay at the cabins on the property, it was very enjoyable. I know your guests will love it too.
